This foundation was created to celebrate the annual Jamaica Independence activities in the Northeast region of the United States and to raise fund to donate to causes that our foundation is most passionate about, namely women in crisis situations, education and youth athletics.
The Colony of Jamaica gained independence from the United Kingdom on 6th day of August in the year 1962. In Jamaica, this date is celebrated as Independence Day, a national holiday.
The Jamaica Independence Foundation, Inc., was established primarily to manage the annual celebratory activities such as the Independence Ball, Thanksgiving Church Services, Woman Empowerment Brunch, Dine Jamaica week, Caribbean Film Festivals and Jamaica Business Forms, for Jamaica’s independence in the NE region of the United States. We are pleased to announce that net proceeds raised from your contribution as a premier sponsor/supporter will be extended to a Women Crisis Issues, Youth education and Amateur athletics.
